Requirements for entering New Zealand
Relevant rules about entering New Zealand can be found on the Immigration New Zealand website.
Passport holders from many countries do not need a visa to visit New Zealand for less than 3 months, and will only need to get a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) prior to arrival. The list of these visa-waiver countries can be found here. In addition, Australian citizens travelling on an Australian passport do not need a visa nor an NZeTA to enter New Zealand.
Passport holders from other countries will generally need to apply for a New Zealand visitor visa. In that case we will be happy to send you a conference participation confirmation letter in support of your application. Please notify us by email (acgrgcospa2026@gmail.com) to request a support letter, with subject "Visa letter request", including relevant details (full name as on passport, passport number and issuing country).
You may also refer to the specific visa-waiver rules for passport holders from China and many Pacific Islands countries who are travelling (not just in transit) from Australia and already hold an eligible Australian visa.
