October 30 13:30: depart from Kingston by car from the workshop venue, after the workshop concludes (which includes lunch at the workshop before you depart), arriving in Sudbury 20:30
October 30 and 31: stay overnight 2 nights in Sudbury, Hampton Inn Sudbury, at the SNOLAB rate of $154 CAD+tax.night. You will be responsible for booking and paying for your hotel on your own. Details below.
October 31 is the visit to the SNOLAB underground lab which will start at 06:00 hotel pickup; the drivers will meet you at the hotel and bring you to the lab and back. The underground visit concludes and brings you to the surface around 15:00 in the afternoon, but it’s not 100% reliable to book an international flight departing that evening, therefore…
Saturday, November 1: 07:00 departure from Sudbury Hampton Inn to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), arriving approximately 11:00.
Note: flights are also available from Sudbury airport YSB to YYZ on Air Canada at 09:45, arriving 10:49 at YYZ, and also there is a departure later in the day at 15:55. But we will bring everyone to YYZ airport, by default, on Nov 1 morning.
The fee for the excursion/transportation is $140 CAD/per person (includes the transportation from Kingston to Sudbury and back to Toronto, and local transportation in Sudbury). The fee will be collected in cash at the conference registration desk.
