Code of Conduct

The STFC BUSSTEPP organisers value the participation of everyone and want all attendees to have an enjoyable experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees and staff. During the School, discrimination on the basis of (for example) gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, gender reassignment, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion, belief, disability, age, physical appearance and level of intellectual/professional achievement will not be tolerated.

Expected behaviour of participants at BUSSTEPP

Participants are expected to:

  • Be on time for the start of every session
  • Switch off mobile phones during lectures and tutorials
  • Be kind to others
  • Do not insult or put down other participants
  • Behave professionally and with courtesy

 

All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience. Sexual language, sexist, racist or exclusionary jokes and imagery are not appropriate for any event.

Participants are entitled to raise a complaint with the School Director, who will take the appropriate remedial action. Attendees violating the above rules may be asked to leave the event.
