Costs and support
BUSSTEPP is funded by STFC. It is free for all STFC-funded and self-funded PhD students based in the UK studying theoretical particle physics and cosmology. Students must not have previously attended a BUSSTEPP school, and are usually in the first year of their PhD studies. This support includes accommodation and food for the period of the school.
For students based overseas, or who are neither funded by STFC nor self-funded, there is a fee of £1,150 for attendance. Again, this includes accommodation and food. If you are not able to cover this cost, please contact us to explore alternative funding options.
