The 22nd International Conference on Strangeness in Quark Matter (SQM2026) will be held on the campus of University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in March 22-27, 2026. The SQM conference series will continue to focus on strange and heavy quark probes of the quark-gluon plasma and astrophysical phenomena. SQM2026 will highlight recent experimental and theoretical achievements on broad physics topics related to high temperature and high energy/or baryon density quantum chromodynamics.
Scientific topics include:
- Strangeness and heavy flavor production in nuclear collisions
- Bulk properties of the QCD matter with strange and heavy flavor probes
- Hadron resonances and evolution dynamics of the QGP
- Chirality, vorticity, spin polarization and magnetic field in heavy ion collisions
- QCD phase structure
- Correlations of particles with strange and heavy flavors in nuclear collisions
- Nuclear equation of state and astrophysics
- Open questions and new developments
