We are pleased to announce the Third Conference on Hot QCD Matter (Series 3), scheduled to be held at IIT Bhilai from September 4 to September 6, 2025. Building upon the success of its predecessors—Goa University in 2022, which led to the publication Dynamics of Hot QCD Matter: Current Status and Developments (IJMPE), and IIT Mandi in 2024, which culminated in the volume Dynamics of Hot QCD Matter 2024: Bulk Properties—this third edition seeks to advance the discourse further within the Indian scientific community.

Scientific Program and Key Themes

  • Heavy-ion physics at high baryon density, with relevance to future facilities such as CBM (Germany) and NICA (Russia)
  • Heavy-ion physics at high temperature, explored through experimental efforts at RHIC (BNL, USA) and LHC (CERN, Europe)
  • Thermodynamics and transport properties of quark and hadronic matter
  • Physics opportunities with the upcoming Electron-Ion Collider (EIC, USA)
  • Experimental probes of the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP)
  • Interdisciplinary connections with astrophysics and compact star physics
  • Emerging applications of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) in high-energy nuclear physics
