Description
Abstract:
Several models of new physics beyond the Standard Model predict the existence of massive, long-lived particles (LLPs) withmacroscopic decay lengths. There is a timely and growing amount ofefforts of the particle physics community to develop a systematic programat the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and future colliders to search forsuch particles. In this talk, I will discuss - with a focus onreinterpretation challenges of ongoing LLP experimental analyses - how looking for a collider signature of a disappearing chargedtrack at the LHC, and a future 100 TeV collider, may serve asprobe of a real triplet scalar dark matter model.
