Getting to IIT Bombay
IIT BOMBAY is located at Powai area, which is in the North-Eastern part of Mumbai (location can be found in this link).
By Trains:
Nearest station to IIT Bombay is Kanjurmarg (Central Railway) and Andheri (Western Railway). If your train terminates at Chartrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), you can board on a train in Central Line and reach Kanjurmarg (approximately 45 minutes). From Kanjurmarg, you can take an auto-rickshaw and come to the IIT Campus (approximately 10 minutes).
If your train terminates at Mumbai Central station, you can board on a train to Dadar (Western Line). Upon reaching Dadar West, change the platform, board on any train in the Central Line and reach Kanjurmarg.
Or you can always book a cab from the following services: OLA, Uber, Easy Cabs etc. (the black and yellow metered taxis are pretty expensive.)
By Flight:
International flights land at Terminal 2, Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Sahar Airport), which is about 10 kms from IIT Bombay. The Domestic Airport is at Terminal1A and Terminal1B (SantaCruz), which is about 15 kms. Pre-paid taxis, auto-rickshaws, OLA and Uber services are available at the airports.
