Getting to Traverse City, Michigan
Traverse City is a beautiful and accessible destination located in the heart of Michigan's scenic northwest region. It is accessible by plane and using a car from large airport hubs, For the purposes of the conference, there is no need to use/rent a car to get around if you choose to fly to Traverse City. The downtown, airport, and bay area are all connected by a frequent and free local bus service (see below)
By Plane:
The fastest way to get to Traverse City is by air. Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) offers daily flights from major hubs like Chicago, Detroit, and Charlotte, as well as several airports in Florida.
Several airlines, including American Airlines, Delta, and United, operate flights into Traverse City. For more details on flight schedules and services, we recommend visiting the airport's official website.
Once you arrive, the airport is just a short 5-10 minute drive from the Hagerty Center, where the conference will be held. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the airport to the city. For more information on bus routes and other ways to get around, please check the details below.
Bus transportation (Including Free Bay area / Downtown service):
Traverse City also has local bus service, which can be a convenient option for getting around the city. The Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) operates buses that serve the area, including routes to and from Cherry Capital Airport (TVC). By Car:
If you're traveling by car, Traverse City is accessible via major highways and scenic routes. From the south, you can take Interstate 75 North toward the M-72 West exit, which leads directly into the heart of Traverse City.
For those driving from Detroit (about 4 hours), you’ll travel north on I-75 and then take M-72 toward Traverse City. From Grand Rapids (about 2.5 hours), take US-131 North and follow the signs toward Traverse City.
Once you arrive in Traverse City, the Hagerty Center is conveniently located near the waterfront and is easily accessible from the city’s main roads.
