Poster information

Posters will be located in the Cavendish Laboratory building on the first and lower ground floors.

The conference programme is available on the conference website. The poster session is taking place on Monday 7 April from 6pm to 8pm. 

Preparing your poster

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary copyright / permissions for all material. 

Posters should be prepared no larger than A0 in size (84.1 x 118.9 cm / 33.1 x 46.8 inches), in a portrait format. 

Posters should be in place by the end of the lunch break on the Monday and taken down again by the end of lunch on the Wednesday.

On the day management

Please fix your poster to your board by the afternoon break on Monday 7 April. Please remove it by the end of lunchtime on Wednesday 9 April, and any posters left on the boards after this time will be discarded.

During the poster session, you, as the presenter, should stand next to your poster to facilitate discussion on your work and to answer any questions.

Your poster number is available on Indico, alternatively, on arrival at the conference make your way to the registration desk where you will be notified.

Fixing material will be supplied which is adequate for laminated posters. Fabric posters may be harder to mount.

The conference programme is available on the conference website, please make sure you are aware of the date and time of your talk. Please note: talk times may change right up until the day, please keep checking back to the programme for your latest presentation time. 

Preparing your presentation

Please ensure that you keep within your allocated time slot as these will be strictly enforced by the session chairs:

Plenary speaker: Duration 30mins (25mins talk + 5mins Q&A)

Contributed oral talk: Duration 15mins (12mins talk + 3mins Q&A)

You, as the presenting author, are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary copyright / permissions for all material included within your presentation.

PDF is preferred but PowerPoint can also be accepted.

Uploading your presentation and the on the day management

Please upload your presentation to Indico at least an hour before the start of your session, ideally the day before. The use of personal laptops isn’t permitted.

We recommend that you check for correct presentation of your files - in particular if they contain videos or other animated items.

The chair of the session will introduce each talk and then moderate all questions from the attendees.

The lecture theatres are equipped with the following audio-visual equipment/support:

Screen

PC/Laptop

Lectern (fixed) and microphone 

Wireless microphone

There will be AV support nearby, if required.
