Description

Despite the enormous success of the Standard Model, we still have a number of open questions in Particle Physics. These include the origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe, the nature of dark matter, and a full understanding of electroweak symmetry breaking. Many of these questions can be explored, and hopefully answered, at an O(100TeV) proton-proton collider. In this seminar, I will recap the physics potential of FCC-hh before covering the technological challenges involved with building a 100TeV collider. I will also discuss the role of FCC-hh in the FCC integrated programme
