The Government of Canada launched the National Quantum Strategy on January 13, 2023, to support Canada’s quantum sector and solidify Canada’s leadership in this fast-growing field. The strategy will amplify Canada’s strength in quantum science and supply of talent, grow its quantum technologies and companies, and advance quantum research and commercialization in Canada. This talk will provide a progress update on the research, talent, and commercialization pillars of the National Quantum Strategy, as well as international initiatives relevant to quantum scientists. The talk will also preview what's on the horizon and make time for questions and feedback from the Physics community.
