Description

International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) is an organization that is deeply committed to promoting EDI among the worldwide community of professional physicists. As a Chair of 2022-2024 C14 (Physics Education) Commission of IUPAP, I had a privilege to participate in and co-organize several events that took place during the mandate of the current commission and were aimed at promoting gender equality in physics education. In my talk I will report on the Education Workshops at the 8th International Conference on Women in Physics 2023 (ICWIP2023) that I was tasked to co-organize in collaboration with my colleagues from the IUPAP's Women in Physics Working Group (WG5). More broadly, I will touch upon IUPAP’s EDI principles and initiatives that benefit physics education worldwide.
