Description

The Belle II experiment at the KEK laboratory in Japan will begin detector commissioning this year, with first data taking for physics planned for 2018. I will present the current status of this project, and describe recent activities relating to detector construction and testing, as well as the commissioning of the SuperKEKB accelerator. I will also report on the activities of Canadian groups that participate in Belle II, as we prepare for the operational phase of the experiment.
