Getting to Szeged

By plane

After landing at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) Terminal 2A/B, take the 200E bus transport to the train station (Ferihegy Airport Station), where you can buy a train ticket to Szeged. This is a direct train to Szeged, it is not necessary to travel into the centre of Budapest. At Ferihegy Airport Station choose Cegled direction. InterCity train runs on Budapest - Kecskemet - Szeged line in every hour from Ferihegy Airport Station to Szeged. Car rental is also possible from Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport.

By train

If arriving at Keleti Station, you should travel to Deák Ferenc tér using M2 (red) metro/subway line where you change to M3 (blue) and get off at Nyugati pályaudvar (Nyugati Station).

InterCity train runs on Budapest - Kecskemet - Szeged line in every hour from 5:53am to 20:53pm. There are two types of service: normal and IC class.
