The workshop will focus on the following aspects of the EIC:
- The physics motivation for an electron-ion collider
- Designs of the Jefferson Lab (JLEIC) and Brookhaven National Lab (eRHIC) versions of the machine — accelerator R&D, challenges and opportunities
- Ideas for experimental programmes
- Detector requirements and designs
The workshop programme will start at noon on the 13th and finish around 4pm on the 14th. Please aim to arrive in Glasgow by 11am on the 13th to allow for travel time to the venue.
