Description
The interfacing of optical fibers with materials can lead to greater versatility for measurand detection. In this work, we fabricated microstructures at a fiber tip, using different fibers, for sensing. One method is the self-written waveguide, which was developed in single mode and hollow core fibers, attaining Fabry-Perot interferometers for temperature and humidity sensing. Another method is the two-photon polymerization, which was also used in different fibers to fabricate more complex structures at the fiber tips, allowing for interferometers to arise while providing open access channels to the hollow core fibers. These configurations were also used for simultaneous detection of temperature and humidity with high resolution.
