Track: Inclusion, Equity and Digital Access
Nigeria’s higher education sector including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education is at a pivotal moment in its digital transformation journey. With millions of learners across diverse institutions, the challenge of bridging the digital divide remains urgent. Persistent issues such as limited infrastructure, unequal access to digital tools, and gaps in digital literacy threaten to widen disparities among students and educators. This paper examines how digital innovation can reimagine Nigeria’s higher education ecosystem to be inclusive, equitable, and future-ready. Ultimately, the paper argues that Nigeria can become a continental leader in digital innovation if stakeholders academics, policymakers, industry leaders, NGOs, and students commit to scalable and collaborative solutions. The study calls for collective action to connect, collaborate, innovate, and transform Nigeria’s higher education landscape, ensuring that no learner is left behind in the digital era.
