Track: AI, Emerging Technologies and Future Learning

Artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies are reshaping computing education by influencing curriculum design, instructional practices, assessment approaches, and graduate preparation. Educational institutions are increasingly challenged to integrate these technologies while preserving learning quality, academic integrity, and workforce relevance. This study synthesizes contemporary evidence on the integration of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies into computing education to examine their implications for curriculum development, teaching, assessment, and graduate employability. Evidence from current educational research was critically analyzed to identify emerging trends, implementation challenges, and effective practices across these interconnected dimensions. The synthesis indicates that AI has considerable potential to enhance curriculum modernization, personalized teaching, learner engagement, and employability-oriented skill development. Persistent challenges include educator preparedness, ethical concerns, assessment validity, learner overreliance on AI-generated content, and disparities in institutional readiness. The study proposes an integrative educational framework that aligns curriculum reform, AI-supported pedagogy, authentic assessment, and employability competencies to promote responsible AI adoption in computing education. Effective integration of AI into computing education requires coordinated curriculum reform, continuous professional development for educators, innovative assessment practices, and stronger collaboration between educational institutions and industry. The proposed framework offers practical guidance for educators, curriculum developers, institutional leaders, and policymakers seeking to prepare graduates with the knowledge, skills, and ethical competencies required in an AI-enabled educational and professional environment.
