Track: AI, Emerging Technologies and Future Learning

The rapid convergence of artificial intelligence (AI), immersive environments, adaptive learning systems, and other developing technologies is reshaping the landscape of education in unique ways. This study argues that future learning need move beyond the mere integration of digital tools into existing classroom models and fundamentally re-conceptualize pedagogical goals, assessment frameworks, and the very nature of knowledge creation. Drawing on current trends in generative AI, learning analytics, and extended reality, three necessary core shifts were proposed which includes a transition from content recall to AIaugmented critical thinking and prompt literacy; the development of ethical guardrails to mitigate algorithmic bias, data privacy risks, and the digital divide; and a renewed focus on humancentric skillscreativity, collaboration, and meta-cognition that technology cannot replicate. While emerging technologies offer powerful opportunities for personalization and access, the study cautioned against technodeterminism and argue that without deliberate pedagogical redesign and inclusive policy, future learning risks deepening existing inequities. This paper synthesizes interdisciplinary evidence to offer a set of actionable principles for academics and researchers, industry and EdTech innovators, policymakers and regulators, students and early career scholars, and technologistsnavigating the uncertain but inevitable transformation of education in an AImediated world.
