Abstract
The study was conducted to determine utilization of artificial intelligence by Agricultural Education lecturers in colleges of education in south East Nigeria. Descriptive survey design was adopted. The population comprised 105 lecturers of Agricultural Education in the colleges of education in the South-East zone of Nigeria. The entire population was used because of its manageable size. Structured questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. The instrument was validated by three experts, two from the Department of Agricultural Education and one from Measurement and Evaluation. The reliability of the instrument was determined using Cronbach Alpha Reliability with a coefficient of 0.95. Analysis was done using Mean and Standard Deviation while t-test was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings showed a moderate level of awareness; inadequate competence and low utilization use of AI in teaching by lectures. The study recommended among others that there should be adequate provision of artificial intelligence tools in colleges of education for effective teaching and learning of agricultural education contents.
