The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed teaching and learning processes, requiring future teachers to develop competencies in the integration of educational technologies into classroom instruction. Digital storytelling has emerged as an innovative pedagogical approach that promotes creativity, communication, critical thinking, and learner engagement. This paper examines the role of Storybird, a web-based digital storytelling platform, in preparing future teachers for technology-enhanced instruction. Specifically, the study explores how pre-service teachers utilize Storybird to design, create, and share digital stories that support teaching and learning across various subject areas. The paper highlights the pedagogical benefits of Storybird, including the enhancement of digital literacy skills, creative expression, collaboration, and instructional design competencies. Furthermore, it discusses the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating Storybird into teacher education programmes, such as access to technology, digital competence, and institutional support. Drawing on contemporary literature and emerging trends in educational technology, the study argues that the incorporation of digital storytelling tools such as Storybird into teacher preparation programmes can equip future educators with the knowledge and skills required to create engaging, learner-centred, and technology-rich learning environments. The paper concludes that technology-enhanced storytelling represents a valuable strategy for preparing future-ready teachers capable of meeting the demands of 21st-century education and fostering meaningful learning experiences in increasingly digital classrooms.
