Track: AI, Emerging Technologies and Future Learning

This study examined the awareness and preparedness of students towards the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for learning Science Education courses in the College of Education Billiri. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. A sample of 150 students was selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics including frequency counts, percentages, mean, and standard deviation. Findings from the study revealed that students demonstrated a high level of awareness of Artificial Intelligence and showed positive attitudes towards its use in learning Science Education courses. The study further revealed that students demonstrated a high level of preparedness to engage with AI as a learning support tool. The findings suggest that AI has the potential to improve students’ learning experiences and enhance engagement in Science Education. The study recommended that the College should promote AI-supported instructional practices, strengthen students digital competencies, and improve access to technological facilities that support AI integration in teaching and learning.
