Track: AI, Emerging Technologies and Future Learning

By rethinking how knowledge is produced, accessed, and shared, artificial intelligence (AI) is radically changing the research environment. This paper will look at how AI-enabled services are transforming Nigeria's research landscape. It will explore how university libraries are leveraging AI technologies to enhance research support, improve information discovery, and increase scholarly productivity. The objectives of the study will include highlighting key AI applications, examining the role of AI in transforming research services, identifying AI tools used in research support, assessing the impact of AI-enabled services on research productivity, and exploring the challenges associated with AI adoption in Nigerian university libraries. The methodology to be adopted will be a descriptive approach, with the population comprising librarians, researchers, and postgraduate students. Data will be collected via questionnaires and documentary sources and analysed statistically.
