ABSTRACT
The rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence (A.I) and digital technology devices is a means to a profound paradigm shift in African higher education. Historically, there are constraint by infrastructural deficit, poor funding and poor access to equal higher education across the country. The paper examines the transformative impact of integrating A.I tools such as adaptive learning platforms, predictive analytics for student retention and automated administrative system alongside digital devices such as smart phones, tablet and laptops. With current implementation trends, this study highlights how technology democratic access to quality education, foster personalized learning experiences and prepares Nigerian graduates for a globalized technology driven works. It will also address critical challenges impending this digital transformation, notably the digital divide erratic power supply, high data cost and a lack of specialized institutional frameworks. The findings indicates that while the localized A.I and mobile digital devices offer unprecedented opportunities to sale educational equity and excellence, the success depends on deliberate stakeholders collaboration. It was concluded that strategic framework for policy makers, educators and technology developers aimed at building resilient digital ecosystem. Ultimately, the transformation of higher of higher education through A.I and digital is not merely a technological upgrade but a socio-economic imperative essential for driving the higher education to a sustainable and capitalizing state.
