Track: Digital Transformation in Higher Education

Due to global phenomena worldwide, digital transformation has reshaped higher education globally, particularly in science disciplines like Physics, which have a much higher analytical advantage through additional/digital tools for experimentation, visualization, and modeling. This paper explores digital transformation in Physics teaching at higher level, addressing technologies like Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual laboratories, simulations, artificial intelligence, cloud computers and collaborative tools. It also covers benefits, challenges and implementation. Finally, with adequate infrastructural support, digital transformation can greatly enhance student engagement and understanding thereby increasing accessibility to quality education along with improving academic performance, provided there is sufficient infrastructure, training, and institutional support. Keywords: Digital transformation; Physics education; tertiary institutions; digital tools and technologies.
