Track: Digital Transformation in Higher Education

Institutions play a very important role in promoting national development. Though they continue to operate on activity based model, where success is measured by processes rather than outcome achieved. The concept of Activity to Result emphasize the need for organizations and institutions to shift focus from merely carrying out activities to achieving measurable outcome that drive real change in the system. Institution in most of the developing countries indulge in a lot of activities like meetings, programs, policies symposiums, reforms etc, their resources, time and energy are often spent on routine activities without clear links to impact, productivity or development. This paper examine why moving from activity based operations to result based operations is an imperative for institutional transformation and sustainable development in educational ecosystem. It highlight the culture of accountability, meritocracy, transparency, efficiency and strategic planning where activity is aligned to specific results and long term goals. By adopting a result oriented approach, institution can improve services delivery and ensure that policies translate into tangible results. The paper concludes that Activity to Result is not only a strategy but necessity to bridge the digital divide in the higher education ecosystem.
