The era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technological devices has restructured global education systems thereby influencing teaching, learning and assessment practices. Teacher education in Nigeria has continues to face challenges such as inadequate instructional resources, low digital literacy among educators, poor infrastructure and changing pedagogical demands. This paper examines how AI and digital technological devices can build resilience in teacher education in Nigeria by improving adaptability, instructional quality and professional development. The study adopts a conceptual and analytical approach, drawing from current literature on educational technology and AI integration in education. It explores the use of AI-driven tools such as intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, automated assessment systems and virtual learning environments in supporting teacher training and instructional delivery. The role of digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, interactive whiteboards and cloud-based applications in enhancing access to learning materials and promoting collaborative learning were highlighted. Findings revealed that AI and digital technologies strengthen resilience in teacher education by supporting personalized learning, continuous professional development, data-driven instruction and improved classroom management. However, challenges such as high cost of technology, inadequate infrastructure, limited policy implementation and insufficient teacher training hinder its adoption. The paper concludes that integrating AI and digital technological devices into teacher education in Nigeria is essential for producing technologically competent and adaptable educators. The paper recommends increased investment in digital infrastructure, curriculum reforms, capacity-building for teacher educators and strong policy support to ensure sustainable integration of AI in teacher education.
