TOPIC: ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE FACILITATION OF ADULT EDUCATION PEDAGOGY AND INSTRUCTION
As adult learners bring diverse experiences, motivations, and learning styles to the educational environment, traditional approaches often fall short in providing truly personalized and effective learning pathways. AI offers a powerful solution by enabling dynamic customization, enhanced accessibility, and intelligent support throughout the learning journey. This paper explores how AI-powered tools and methodologies facilitate key aspects of adult education. These include personalized learning experiences through adaptive content and intelligent tutoring systems, real-time feedback and assessment for tailored skill development, and increased accessibility through features like speech-to-text, translation, and assistive technologies. Furthermore, AI can streamline administrative tasks for Adult Educators, allowing them to focus more on direct instruction and learner engagement. While acknowledging the immense opportunities, it also briefly touches upon ethical considerations and the need for a balanced approach to integrate AI effectively and equitably into adult education.
