The study investigated pre-service teachers’ perception of the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in teacher training programmes in Nigerian institutions. A descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. Three research questions and three null hypotheses tested at a 0.05 alpha level were employed to execute the study. The Population of the study comprised 400 preservice teachers (students enrolled in teacher education programmes: NCE, B.Ed., PGDE) in Nigerian tertiary institutions (colleges of education, universities) during the study period, drawn from four public institutions in Delta State, Nigeria. These institutions were selected based on their prominence and representation of different types of teacher training programs in the state. The institutions include Delta State University, Abraka; Delta State College of Education, Mosogar; University of Delta, Agbor; and College of Education, Warri, each of which offers a range of programs that train future educators. The sample size of 200 pre-service teachers was drawn using stratified random sampling to ensure a sample of four institutions per stratum and within each selected institution, sample programmes (e.g. Science Education, English Education), then randomly sample preserves teachers from programme lists..A twenty-five (25)  researcher made questionnaire titled:" Pre-Service Teachers’ Perception And Integration Of Artificial Intelligence (Ai) In Teacher Training Programmes Questionnaire (PTPIAITTPQ) which contained two sections, section A: Demographic information and Section B elicited information from Pre-Service Teachers’ Perception And Integration Of Artificial Intelligence using the 4-point likert scale of strongly agree, agree, disagree and strongly disagree. Face and content validity of the instrument were ascertained by the experts in the department of Measurement and Evaluation. The instruments were validated by experts in educational research and test measurement, and a pilot study was conducted to determine reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha, which yielded a coefficient of 0.70, indicating high reliability. Data were analyzed using Descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviations and inferential statistics such as t-tests to compare mean perceptions across groups the gender was used to answer hypotheses.
