Welcome to the page of the LISA-Spain Meeting 2026.
This is the third (first in Barcelona 2024, second in Madrid 2025) in a series of meetings devoted to the organisation and scientific collaboration of Spain-based researchers working or interested in the LISA mission.
It will take place on the 11th and 12th of November 2026 (with the possibility of extending the discussions to Friday 13th), at the Institute of Applied Computing and Community Code (IAC3), Universitat de les Illes Balears, in Palma, Mallorca. The meeting will have an in-person format.
Registration and call for abstracts
Registration and abstract submission will open soon.
How to reach the venue
The meeting venue is the Institute of Applied Computing and Community Code (IAC3), located at Parc Bit, Carrer Blaise Pascal 6, 07121 Palma. Parc Bit lies outside the city centre, but is straightforward to reach by metro, city bus or taxi.
From Palma city centre. The most convenient starting point is Plaça d'Espanya / Estació Intermodal, the main transport hub in central Palma.
- By metro: Line M1 "Metro Palma – UIB – ParcBit" from Estació Intermodal, running 06:35–21:35 every 10–20 minutes. Get off at the final stop, ParcBit; the venue is a 9-minute walk. Tickets cost €1.80 at the station machines. Total travel time is about 27 minutes.
- By bus: EMT line 19 "UIB i Parc Bit – Porta des Camp", running 06:55–21:38 roughly every 20 minutes, final stop ParcBIT. Journey time from Plaça d'Espanya is about 38 minutes. The €2 fare is paid on board (card or cash).
Walking from the ParcBit metro stop. The institute is a short walk from the station. There are two small pedestrian bridges along the way: take the second one (Bridge 2) to reach the IAC3 building.
From Palma Airport (Son Sant Joan).
- By bus: Take EMT line A1 "Aeroport – Palma Centre" to Plaça d'Espanya (05:30–03:10, every 12 minutes, €5 cash on board), then transfer to line 19 to ParcBIT (€2 on board). Total travel time is about 1 hour 10 minutes.
- By taxi: Taxis wait directly outside arrivals. The trip to Parc Bit takes around 30 minutes and costs approximately €30.

Accommodation in Mallorca
Accommodation is to be arranged by the participants on an individual basis. Central Palma offers a wide range of options and is well connected to the venue by metro line M1 and bus line 19, both departing from Plaça d'Espanya / Estació Intermodal. Accommodation within walking distance of that hub is therefore the most convenient choice. We recommend booking early.
