Visa Information for Conference Participants
We encourage all participants to review the following visa options before making travel arrangements. Please check which policy applies to your nationality and plan accordingly.
1. Short-Term Visa-Free Entry (30 days)
As of 1 June 2025, the National Immigration Administration allows ordinary passport holders from 43 countries to enter China visa-free for business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, or transit, for stays of up to 30 days. The duration of stay is calculated from 00:00 on the day following entry.
Europe (32): Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland
Asia (4): Brunei, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea
Oceania (2): Australia, New Zealand
South America (5): Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay (eligible from 1 June 2025)
2. Visa-Free Transit (up to 240 hours)
Nationals of 54 eligible countries—including Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada—transiting through China to a third country (region) may enter visa-free via any of the 60 open ports across 24 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, and may remain within the designated transit areas for up to 240 hours (10 days).
This policy requires entry from one country and departure to a different third country. The full list of eligible countries and further details are available here.
Note: Some countries listed in Section 1 may also qualify under this transit policy.
3. Applying for a Chinese Visa
If neither policy applies to you and you require a visa, please complete the registration form and contact us as early as possible. Kindly indicate the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General where you intend to submit your application, and we will provide a visa invitation (supporting) letter.
