Welcome to Cape Town! To assist delegates attending SAGS 2026 at the University of Cape Town (UCT), we have compiled a list of recommended accommodation options near the venue, along with travel guidelines.
Venue location: UCT Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Room 304
Note: Delegates are responsible for booking their own accommodation. We recommend booking early, as Cape Town is a popular destination toward the end of the year.

Getting to Campus & Transport
Flying In: The closest airport is Cape Town International Airport (CPT), located approximately 15–20 minutes by car from the UCT campus.
Local Transport: Uber and Bolt are widely available, safe, and reliable throughout Cape Town and around the university area.

Tips for Student Delegates & Funding Applicants
If you are applying for departmental or institutional travel grants:
1. Obtain an official quote from your chosen accommodation provider.
2. Combine the accommodation quote with your SAGS Acceptance & Support Letter when submitting your internal funding request.
