Description
The Light Dark Matter eXperiment (LDMX) is a proposed fixed-target, missing-momentum experiment to be installed at the recently commissioned LESA beamline at the SLAC LCLS-II, that will deliver an $8\,\mathrm{GeV}$ electron-beam starting in summer 2027. The primary goal of LDMX is to search for dark matter in the MeV - GeV mass range, but its science potential includes sensitivity to a broader range of new physics phenomena as well as new measurements of background processes. This talk will present an overview of recent milestones and the current status of LDMX, with a particular focus on the Swedish contributions at Lund University.
