Description

In heavy-ion collisions, where the quark–gluon plasma (QGP) can be created and studied experimentally, we investigate the modification of jets as they propagate through the medium. In particular, we study path-length-dependent effects through the jet yield relative to the event plane and through event-shape engineering. Furthermore, jet–hadron correlations are used to probe medium-induced modifications of the jet structure through the resulting correlation functions.
