On October 10, 2026 we will organize a facility visit to the MedAustron center for ion beam therapy and research in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
Visitors under the age of 18 or pregnant / breastfeeding visitors are not permitted to enter radiation areas and are thus excluded from the guided tour.

The visit will include areas such as the injector hall with the three ion source branches, the experimental research room, and clinical irradiation rooms. We will also highlight setups related to the mixed helium and carbon ion beam delivery. Please note that, according to the current schedule, the synchrotron hall will likely not be accessible.
Preliminary schedule:
- 08:30: Meeting at Wien Hauptbahnhof.

10:00: Guided tour at MedAustron. The tour is expected to end between 12:00 and 13:00.

Depending on the end of the tour, return to Wien Hbf between 13:00 and 14:00.
