On October 10, 2026 we will organize a facility visit to the MedAustron center for ion beam therapy and research in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
Visitors under the age of 18, pregnant / breastfeeding visitors or visitors with a pace-maker are not permitted to enter radiation areas and are thus excluded from the guided tour.

The visit will include areas such as the injector hall with the three ion source branches, the experimental research room, and clinical irradiation rooms. We will also highlight setups related to the mixed helium and carbon ion beam delivery. Please note that, according to the current schedule, the synchrotron hall will likely not be accessible.
Schedule:
- 08:30: Meeting at Wien Hauptbahnhof.

13:36: Return to Wien Hbf
Registration and cost
Cost: €20 if a train ticket is required; free if no train ticket is needed.
Payment modality: You will receive an invoice with the bank transfer details, similar to the workshop fee payment.
