Lancaster
Lancaster is located on Morecambe Bay in North West England and is easily accessible by rail or road. Maps and more travel information can be found here.
Lancaster University is a campus university located south of the city centre and well-connected to the city by very frequent buses. If you plan to come to campus by car, please check the guide to parking on campus here.
Local hotels and accommodation
If you'd like to stay close to campus, then you might want to consider the Lancaster House Hotel.
In the city centre, there are mid-priced options available at The Toll House Inn and the Royal Hotel. A larger number of cheaper rooms are available at the GO2.
If there is sufficient demand, we will arrange for a shuttle bus to transport workshop delegates between the university and the city centre.
Activities in and around Lancaster
Information on Lancaster Castle and other sites of interest in the city can be found here. If the weather is good, you might want to venture a little further to see the sea at Morecambe. There are many scenic walks locally, but if you want to go further afield, then there are also regular buses and trains to the Lake District National Park.
