The International School on Nuclear Physics, Neutron Physics and Applications has been organized by the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (INRNE-BAS) every two years since 1973. Although historically called a “School,” the event today functions as an international scientific conference. After an interruption following the 2019 edition, the conference is now being resumed. The main goal of the conference is to stimulate the activity of the nuclear physics community in the southeastern part of Europe. At the same time, it serves as a forum where prominent physicists and young researchers from around the world come together to discuss the most significant experimental and theoretical developments in the field.
