Description

We study color screening effects at finite temperatures using quenched $SU(2)$ lattice gauge simulations. We extract gluon electric and magnetic masses from long-range behavior of the gluon propagators on temperature regions $T=T_c\sim5T_c$. We also calculate them without nonperturbative effects by removing the center vortices on the lattice. As a result, we find that there is no distinction between both masses; this may mean that magnetic sector is more crucial than electric sector in quark-gluon plasma phase.
