Description

Quantum geometric phases convert weak new-physics signals into measurable phases through controlled oscillator trajectories. I will discuss applications to bosonic dark matter and spin-dependent fifth forces. In cavity systems, coherent displacement and squeezing amplify the phase induced by dark photons or axions, enabling sensitivity beyond the standard quantum limit. In trapped ions, a fifth-force gradient interferes with a calibrated reference force to generate a motional geometric phase complementary to Ramsey sensing. These examples establish geometric phase as a versatile tool for enhancing sensitivity and controlling systematics in new-physics searches.
