Description
The TASEH experiment searches for the Axion Dark Matter with a Haloscope detector, featuring a high-quality-factor cavity with tunable resonance frequency in a uniform magnetic field. The whole setup is maintain at a temperature of few tens of miliKelvin in a Dilution Refrigerator. The system design follows the concept developed by Sikivie and pioneered by ADMX and Haystack experiments.
TASEH conducted its first Axion search near 4.75 GHz in 2021. Currently, the experiment targets the frequency range from 2.0 GHz to 2.3 GHz. The estimated sensitivity is expected to be around 2 times the KSVZ QCD benchmark model. This contribution presents the status of the experiment and the plans for the data taking. Technical challenges and ideas for future upgrades are also reported.
