Description

Superconductivity plays a significant role in modern high-energy accelerators as it enables:

  • High field magnets for bending, focusing, and wiggling charged particle beams
  • High field magnets in large detectors for particle identification from colliders
  • Superconducting RF cavities for charged particle beam acceleration

In this talk I will give a briefely describe the role of Cryogenics in SRF technology.
