I will describe how placing CFTs on pp-wave backgrounds can teach us about large-spin operators. Heisenberg symmetries and locality control both light-cone/Regge and large-twist regimes, imply a new (3+1)-dimensional unitarity bound, and yield applications to gauge theories.
