Description

DEAP-3600 (Dark matter Experiment using Argon Pulseshape discrimination) is currently the largest single-phase argon dark matter detector in the world, housing over three tonnes of liquid argon. This makes it an excellent medium for searching for solar neutrino absorption on argon-40, a process first theoretically predicted in the 1980s. This process can be used for sensitive measurement of neutrino spectra and rates. In this talk, we detail the efforts undertaken by the DEAP collaboration to make the first observation of this interaction in data collected between 2016 and 2020, and present the latest results from this analysis.
