Submission Guidelines
We are pleased to invite abstract submissions for the National Undergraduate Physics Conference (NUPC) to be held at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Tirupati. To ensure a smooth and fair process for all participants, please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your work.
While the primary focus is on undergraduate physics students, the event also welcomes all graduate students who have not completed their master's degree by December 2025. Interdisciplinary participation is encouraged, especially from mathematics, engineering, biophysics, and related fields with physics-relevant work.
1. Abstract Formatting Requirements
Your abstract must adhere to the following format:
- Length:100–150 words. Submissions significantly outside this range may be returned for revision.
- Content: The abstract should be a concise summary of your work. It must clearly state, the objective of your work, the methods or approach used and the results obtained or expected outcomes.
- Figures: You may include one figure (e.g., graph, diagram, schematic) with a brief caption. If necessary, this can be a collage of images, provided it remains clear and legible. Note that adding a figure is not mandatory.
- Author Information: The abstract must list all authors and their affiliations. The speaker's name should be in bold with their email address provided in the abstract.
2. Presentation Format: Oral vs. Poster
Based on the reviewers' best judgement, particularly in "Overall Impact & Interest," accepted abstracts will be selected for either an oral or poster presentation.
The choice of format will also depend on how well the abstract aligns with the themes and sessions of the conference. While some contributions may be more suitable for oral presentations, others may find a better fit in poster sessions, where detailed discussion and interaction are encouraged.
The final decision on presentation format rests with the organising committee.
3. Important Policies
Plagiarism: Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection. All work must be your own or in collaboration with the other authors, and all other sources must be clearly cited.
Originality: Submissions should report on original work by the authors.
