Description
I will discuss recent developments in Herwig 7 within its default angular-ordered framework. These include a fully automated electroweak parton shower, a generalised shower for BSM scenarios, and a dedicated onium shower, enabling consistent radiation patterns across a wider range of processes. On the non-perturbative side, I will discuss the use of HQET and the implementation of spin-hadronisation for excited heavy mesons and heavy baryons. I will also outline Herwig's current tuning programme: the strategy behind the Herwig 7.3 global tune and progress on the coherence tune for Herwig 7.4.
