Description
This talk details a search for new X-ray emitting planetary nebulae (XPNe) based on a cross-match between the Galactic PNe population and the eROSITA-DE eRASS1 source catalog. The core results of this search, including their implications for the X-ray properties of PNe, have been published. The talk concludes by outlining expectations for future X-ray missions and reporting the independent confirmation of a new XPN by the Einstein Probe satellite, a finding also slated for separate publication.
