Transportation
Fort Collins is located about 70 miles north of Denver. While the closest passenger airport is in Cheyenne, WY, the most convenient airport for most visitors will be Denver International. From the airport, it is possible to get to Fort Collins by the Groome shuttle service or Landline shuttle service.
Location of workshop
The workshop will take place in the Hammond Auditorium on the ground floor of the Physics Department in the Engineering building at CSU. It is a 15-20 mins walk from the Hilton (directions) and a 10 min walk from the Best Western (directions). The Hammond Auditorium is right next to the Focault Pendulum.
If you arrive at the engineering parking lot the Physics building is towards the left of the building right in front of you. You will arrive in the basement, go one floor up and straight, then left.
Parking at the campus
Visitors should park in the Engineering Lot (Lot 310), which offers convenient hourly parking near our location. Please ensure you only park in spaces designated for hourly parking—do not park in any spots marked with letters (such as "A" permits), as these are reserved and may result in a citation. Hourly parking is currently $2 per hour, and paid parking is enforced until 4:00 PM. You can view a detailed campus parking map here, and find directions to the lot via Google Maps.
You could pay using the machines at the parking lot, or using the ParkMobile app (there are QR codes on signs in the parking lot).
