Professor Pham Quang (P.Q.) Hung (1950–2024) was a renowned theoretical particle physicist and a dedicated educator whose influence extended well beyond academia. Born in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, he rose from humble beginnings to achieve global recognition, leaving a lasting impact through his groundbreaking research and unwavering commitment to advancing physics education in Vietnam. His passing on October 7, 2024, marked the end of an era, but his intellectual and personal legacy lives on in the many lives he inspired. In this talk, I will present his remarkable contributions to particle physics and his profound influence on scientific education in Vietnam.
