Description
Peculiar velocities surveys are going to play a key role in testing our knowledge about the nearby universe and our cosmological assumptions. In this talk, I will review what peculiar velocities are and some recent fundings and analysis that I have been developed concerning these novel observables. In particular, I will focus on the information we can extrapolate about peculiar velocities from datasets as Pantheon+SH0ES.
